house project

I recently finished another house project- painting the cabinets in our master bathroom. I really love wood cabinets, especially in the kitchen, but prefer darker wood. All the cabinets in our house are medium-light, so we're slowly changing them.
We started with the wood paneling in the living room.

Our bedroom is painted light grey with a dark grey vaulted ceiling, so we decided to bring the color into the bathroom. First, I thoroughly cleaned the surface and removed the hardware.

            

Next, I taped off the surrounding area and put on two coats of primer.

Finally, I applied two coats of high gloss paint. Make sure to allow 24 hours for each coat to dry.

Replace hardware, remove tape, and you're done!

Eventually, we will tear down the wallpaper and paint. I've already begun that project in the half bath! Maybe that will be my next post :)
